Egg less Besan Nankhatais/ Eggless Gram Flour cookies

Happy Fiesta Friday,  I am taking these yummy cookies to Angie' fiesta Friday co hosted by 2 lovely ladies Selma and Elaine.. :-) 

Since the festive season is nearing, I want to give a personal touch of gists this time. So planning to give home made chocolate and cookies to close friends and relatives. Where Chocolate comes later, today I tried these eggless whole gram flour Nankhatais with flavour of cardamom. These came absolutely melt in mouth, perfect crunchiness, and very apt for gifting too..

* 1 Cup Besan/ gram flour 
* 3 tbsp semolina/ sooji
* Desi Ghee 1/2 Cup/ clarified white butter
* Powdered Sugar 1/2 Cup
* Cardamom/Elaichi 1/2 tsp ( Optional)
* Almond/Pista Flakes for Garnishing ( Optional)


Take a bowl put together butter and powdered sugar and beat it well till it 
forms a cream and fluffy mixture. In a separate bowl take flour, semolina and mix 
cardamom powder to it before you go ahead and mix the flour to the sugar 
mixture. Once done combine dry and wet ingredients and using your hand mix them 
well. Please ensure not to knead the dough like that of chapati dough. Rest the 
dough for 10 mints. and then start taking small portions of the dough between 
your palm shape them like a ball and then press a little between your palms. 

Garnish them with desired Almond/Pista Flakes before popping them in oven
Pre heat the oven at 180 degree and bake on same temp for 15 mints. + After 15 
mints keep an eye on them on their color to identify its done..

Your Cookies are ready to enjoy with a cup of coffee tea or just like that...:)
