Multigrain and Oats Bread Loaf

Multigrain and Oats bread

My 15 months old son is a really fussy eater. In a day I try not less than 5-6 different things to feed him, but at times he doesn't eat anything out of it...:(  sad mommy..:(

Few days back I had him taste a butter toast of a whole wheat market brought bread and he apparently liked it.. And voila!!! Bread baking was next in my list.. As even the upmarket brands which says whole wheat bread, I personally fail to believe them..

So thought of trying a multigrain with Oats loaf, and this was my first bread too..:D

Ingredients
- multigrain flour 2 cups
- regular plain oats 1/2 cup
- milk powder 1/4 cup
- salt 1 tbsp
- butter 1/4 cup
- instant active dry yeast 1.5 tbsp
- sugar 1 tbsp
- lukewarm water 200 ML

Process
Take a bowl add lukewarm water to this add sugar and yeast and give it a good mix and let the yeast prof for at least 10 mints.
Once the yeast is bloomed you will see the water and yeast mix is frothed nicely.

In a separate big bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix them well.. To this add water and yeast mix and with your finger tips, make it into a sticky dough. Once the sticky dough is ready take the dough on the work platform add 1 tbsp. of melter butter and knead the dough for at least 10 mints. Yes this is job that needs lots of hard work, but this kneading will help to aerate your bread and make it light.

As and when you fell the dough is sticky you can add half tbsp. of melted butter. Once the dough is kneaded into a nice soft dough, place it in a greased bowl covered with a Cling wrap or kitchen towel for at least half an hour or till the dough becomes double at a warm place.  Once your dough is doubled, bring the dough to your kitchen platform and punch the dough and knead for about a mint.

In a greased loaf pan, place the dough in middle leaving space at all the four edges for the dough to rise. Now, keep this loaf pan in a warm place covered for about 40 mints.
After said time you'll see the nice and well raised dough. Sprinkle some oats from top and brush with butter.
Now, bake this on pre heated oven at 180 degrees for about 30-35 mints. Keep and eye after 30 mints. Till you see a nice golden brown colour on the crust of the bread. Take out the loaf once done, and put on cooling rack before slicing it.

You can slice the dough once cooled and enjoy fresh baked bread with butter, jam, make sandwiches.. Your healthy, home made and 100% fresh bead is ready...

Happy baking..:) <3
